We Stamp Challenges

Wow . . 2 challenges completed in one day, and on separate cards.
My first card is based on the We Stamp Wednesday Challenge #2.

I have used Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Real Red C/S. Bella Rose DSP. The new individual "Happy Birthday" stamp from the Spring Mini, and the Jumbo Chocolate Chip Brad also from the mini. You can't quite see it, but I have used one of the flower stamps from "Fifth Avenue Floral" as a background on the pink pirouette. Also used a couple of Felt Fusion Flowers, the 1 3/8 & 1 1/4 circle punch's and I finally bought my "Cricut" out of the cupboard for the large Real Red Circle. Now it is on the bench I may actually use it.
The second card is the We Stamp Colour Challenge #2. Night of Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red and Whisper White.
For this one I have used Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White and Night of Navy C/S. Large and Small Star Punch's, Eyelet Border Punch, Rose Red Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and a Rose Red Brad. I have layered the sentiment from "On Your Birthday" using Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red and Night of Navy Ink and shadowed them using the "Stamp a-ma-jig".
Hope everyone has a great night.

Spring Mini Ideas

These are some of the cards I showed for the Spring Mini Launch I had on Sunday. This is one awesome mini. Great sets for kids, mums and dads, it has it all. And as for the embellishments, who could ask for more. We did the train and thumper for our make n take.

This great mini also has some wonderful individual stamps, (the "birthday" greeting on the train card and the "flowers" on the "Scallop Oval" card). These are great for adding to other sets or for those who are just starting out. My favourite set is of course the "Oval All" which has a matching punch, as all my friends know I am a bit of a punch-a-holic. If I dont have to use use scissors I am happy.

If you would like to see some of these sets and the rest of the "Stampin' Up!" range please contact me and I would be happy to arrange a Workshop with you and your friends.

Have a great night.

Another 6x6 Scrapbook Page

This is the second 6x6 scrapbook page I am doing at a workshop on Tuesday Night. This one is going into a Stampin Up 6x6 Page Protector and then I will make a cover page and join them all together with D rings.

I have used Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette C/S, Bella Rose DSP, So Swirly Jumbo Wheel, Life Definitions Stamp Set, Chocolate Chip Ink, Felt Flowers and Brads.

Hostess/Door Prizes

The We Stamp "Gift Card Pouch" and "Chocolate Clutch" make great Door Prizes or Hostess Gifts. The Chocolate Clutch came just at the right time, as I thought I would have to eat the last full box of Fundraising Chocolate all by myself, and that would just be WRONG.
I have used Holiday Treasures DSP, Old Olive & Chocolate Chip C/S. It is easier to decorate this when the chocolate is inside. This gives you something to press on without squashing the box and also stops you from eating the chocolate.
Sorry about the photo on this one. I have used the basic idea behind the "Gift Card Pouch" and adjusted it to use up the cellophane bags I already had. This one contains a stampin spot, two incentive stamps and my business card/bookmark. You can open the top flap just by pulling it forward, and then close it again by pulling on the ribbon handle.

Inkpirations #10 - Progressive Scrapbook

I have a scrapbooking workshop on Tuesday night and decided to demonstrate the versatility of 6x6 pages. We will be doing 2 6x6 pages. This is the first one, which I decided to make into a progressive page. While I was sorting myself out I had a break and did a bit of blog surfing (as you do), and I realised that the colours work well with this weeks Inkspiration Challenge .

Anywho here are my progressions.

The first is a 6x6 page, then on up to an A4 and finally a full 12x12.

I have used Basic Grey, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Whisper White Cardstock. Urban Garden DSP. Baja Breeze Ribbon. Bugs & Kisses Stamp Set, Kiwi Kiss & Whisper White Ink Pads. I did the journalling on the computer and changed the colour to match Kiwi Kiss. (RGB codes on Splitcoast).

Inkspirations Colour Challenge 10

Here is my take on the colour challenge over at Inkspirations....

The colours were calling to be distressed, so distress I did . . .

Cardstock: Rose Red (although the photo makes it look like Ruby Red), Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss and Very Vanilla.

Stamps: Occasional Greetings (a wonderful set with a bit of everything)

Other: Distressing Tool and Jumbo Brads in Very Vanilla which will be available in the awesome spring mini from 1st August.

We Stamp - Pad & Pocket Folder

Over at the We Stamp blog there is a great members only area, with awesome ideas and new inspiration every day!! I am a bit behind as this is the Day 1 idea and tomorrow is Day 4.
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Old Olive and So Saffron.
DSP: Haiku
Stamp Set: Occasional Greetings & Lovely as a Tree
Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, Old Olive Flower Fusion and a So Saffron Designer Brad (available August 1st).
The sample had the ribbon tied ina bow and pretty on the front, but these colours didn't do pretty, so I just made the ribbon into a sleeve that keeps the whole thing closed.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, looks like it might be a wet one. Oh well more time for stampin then.

Clean & Simple - We Stamp

The latest challenge on the "We Stamp" blog is to keep a project clean and simple, single layering. minimal extras.
I really tried hard not too think too much about this one, and also to resist the urge to embellish just a little bit.
I have used Very Vanilla C/S, stamped it with the Sanded Background stamp in Creamy Caramel. Then stamped the grasses from Inspired by Nature with Old Olive and the sentiment if from Close as a Memory in Chocolate Chip.
Thats it. Clean & Simple

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, WW, Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose
DSP: Sweet Always
Ribbon: Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie
Stamps: Cheers to You, Live Like You Mean It, Family Phrases.
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Scallop Square Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Oval Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Felt Fusion Flowers.
I have some other projects to upload, but between blogger and telecom playing up this 1 post has taken 30minutes, and I have had enough.
Will try again later and see if it is any better.
Have a great Saturday.

Watercolour Weekend

If is doesn't stop raining soon we will all be watercoloured ! ! !
At a team meeting a few weeks ago Sharlene showed us a watercolouring technique. This weekend I finally had a chance to play, and this is what I came up with.
Not sure if you can see on this photo but the lilly pad
and bullrushes are watercoloured, and the cute wee frog was inked up with versamark then garden green then clear embossed.

These two use the "Fifth Avenue Floral" Stamp set. The yellow centre flower on the second card has been watercoloured and then I covered the whole thing in versamark and clear embossed it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Birthday Daisy

Not another Upsy Daisy card I hear you say . . . But yes it is true, I am finding it hard to put this stamp down. This card was for my sister in-laws birthday last week. I also made a matching Candle, box and envelope, but gave them to her before I realised I hadn't taken a photo. . .

Boxes

I had a couple of ladies ask what we could make in the way of boxes for little thank gifts etc. I knew there were quite a few options to answer this, but when I mentioned it to Sharlene and Michelle they both immediately said "Origami Boxes". So I went home and did a bit of net surfing and found some Origami Boxes, and thought OMG I don't think so. . . . Then I found the instructions and WOW once I made one it was all over, I now have quite a few, all different shapes, sizes and colours. Here are two from the workshop I had last week.

Two quite different boxes, but both starting with the same idea.

Upsy Daisy Candles and more . . .

Had a couple of friends over tonight to have a play at stamping onto candles, which I saw on SCS a while ago but now can't find it to link it up. This is what we came up with.
The first photo we used the wonderful "Upsy Daisy" set, Stampin' Up! markers on the first two and white craft ink on the blue one. You can just see the "Dazzling Diamonds" on the purple flower on the first one (tania's creation).

Tania and Carla also did these two.

And this is what little boys do with stamp offcuts when they are supposed to be in bed (Aidan 18 months).

Have an awesome weekend.
Cheers
Teresa

Kerryn's Colour Challenge #18

Kerryn's challenge this week used Glorious Green, Summer Sun, Rose Red and a neutral. All bright cheery colours. As my big boys are at rugby and little boy is in bed I have time to play, (should be doing end of year paperwork, but this is more fun). Here is my version.

Cardstock: Black, Glorious Green, Summer Sun and Rose Red

Ink: Basic Black

Stamps: Family Phrases

Tools: Star Punch, 1 1/4 Circle Punch, Square Scallop and Square Punch

Colour Challenge #51

I wasn't sure about this combo of colours (i think it was the mustard) but I love the way this has come together. The message isn't bad photography (not blurry), I have shadowed the choc chip words with more mustard using the stamp-a-ma-jig to get it just in the right place. I made the chocolate chip frame using the scallop border punch.

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, More Mustard, Whisper White

Ink: Chocolate Chip, More Mustard

Stamps: Words from Upsy Daisy

Other: Rose Red Felt Flowers, Choco Chip Ribbon, More Mustard Brads

Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Mat Pack and punch tool

First Blog - First Workshop

Well, only a couple of days to go until my first workshop. I think I am organised. Here are the two cards I will be demonstrating. Nice and simple so hopefully I won't muck up anything.
